Spain Wins The UEFA Nations League

Dani Carvajal’s decisive penalty kick denied Luka Modric and Croatia their first victory, and Spain were declared the inaugural winners of the Nations League in Rotterdam.
Despite the Croatian supporters’ loud chants, Spain got off to a promising start as Alvaro Morata nearly pounced on a Dominik Livakovic slip and Gavi narrowly missed the goal post. But as Croatia took control of the match, they began to take advantage of Spain’s high defensive line.
Andrej Kramaric broke through on goal, but Aymeric Laporte of Manchester City brilliantly recovered to prevent his shot. The game ended scoreless after 120 minutes, and it had to be decided on post-match penalties.
For the penalty kicks, Spain scored their penalty kicks through Joselu,Rodri, Mikkel Morino, and Marco Asensio, while Aymeric Laporte missed his spot kick and Dani Carvajal stepped up to score the winning penalty kick.
Croatia scored their penalty kicks through Nikola Vlasic, Marcelo Brozovic, and Luka Modric. Lovro Majer missed his penalty while Ivan Perisic scored his, but Bruno Petkovic missed his kick, which saw Spain crowned the UEFA Nations League title.
