Lionel Messi Set To Join Inter Miami
Argentina superstar Lionel Messi is set to join Inter Miami starting next season.
The former Barcelona and PSG forward has decided to pursue his career in the USA with the MLS team Inter Miami, which is owned by David Beckham.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Messi has decided to play for Miami starting next season after rejecting a huge offer from a Saudi Arabian club.
Barcelona were the frontrunners to sign him after Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi, were pictured in a meeting with Laporta on Tuesday evening. La Liga had approved Barcelona’s plan to sign Messi, but the deal felt complicated after Barcelona failed to assure Messi that they would register him in time.
It marks the end of Lionel Messi’s career in Europe, where he has played for almost 20 years since his debut with Barcelona.
