Woman Arrested For Locking Up Boyfriend
A 30-year-old woman has been charged with illegal deprivation of liberty after locking up her boyfriend in a room for 72 hours to prevent him from cheating.
The lovers, based in Buenos Aires southern La Plata city of Argentina, have been having love triangle quarrels for a while where the woman feared of losing her lover to a neighbour.
According to Argentina media outlets, man, 29 had been dating the woman for a couple of six months when things started going south.
Following the insecurities the woman had over her boyfriend, the woman locked him up in her house for three days by also leaving him incommunicado.
According to Daily Mail and Philippines Star, she uninstalled WhatsApp application from the man’s phone before breaking it down as a way of preventing him from communicating with other women.
However, following the lock up, it’s reported that the man later looked for a way and accessed his lovers phone which he used to contact outsiders who came for his rescue with the police.
Before the lock up, the man told the police that his lover at the beginning of their love journey was good but later started feeling jealousy of him walking with friends.
As a result, she set up curfew hours for the dude to arrive at home, limiting his freedom of association.
“She threatened me that if I didn’t arrive at such and such a time or another, she would come to wherever I was to look for me,” he told the police.
On Saturday, when the police went to rescue him from the lock out jaws, they arrested the woman and charged her for kidnapping- illegal deprivation of one’s right to liberty.
