Manchester United Face Major Drawback

Manchester United were beaten 1-0 by Brighton on Wednesday night in a rematch of the FA semifinals.

Brighton went into the game wanting to avenge their defeat in the FA semi finals at Wembley. Marcus Rashford had two golden chances in the first half, but his efforts went just wide. On the other hand, David de Gea brilliantly saved Mitoma’s effort, and both teams went goalless at the break.

In the second half, Argentina star Alexis Mac Allister scored the winner from the penalty spot late into the game after Luke Shaw handled the ball in his own box, and Brighton got the three points.

Speaking after the game, Brighton coach De Zerbi said they played well.

“I’m really happy and delighted with the performance and result. There is a god of football. We deserved to win the semi-final but lost on penalties, but today we won with a penalty. In both games, I think we played better than United. The last result was unfair.” He said.

With two games remaining, Brighton has climbed to sixth position in the Premier League standings and is now four points behind fifth-placed Liverpool. They trail United by eight points as the Champions League and Europa League qualification quests continue.
