Tottenham Hotspurs Launch A Comeback To Draw Against Manchester United

Manchester United threw away a 2-0 halftime lead and drew 2-2 against a struggling Tottenham side on Thursday in the Premier League.

After their embarrassing 6-1 defeat away to Newcastle over the weekend, Spurs had the chance to redeem themselves against Manchester United.

They however, started the game on the back foot, as Jadon Sancho gave Manchester United the lead after just 7 minutes of action. Marcus Rashford then added United’s second just before the halftime break to give Ten Hag’s side a comfortable 2-0 halftime lead.

However, in the second half, Spurs did manage to get one back through Pedro Porro 10 minutes after the second-half kick off.Spurs would draw level through Son, who found the back of the net after being set up by Harry Kane.

Both teams had chances to score the winning goal, but none of them took their chances.

Speaking after the game, Spurs forward Son was frustrated they did not win the game.

“I thought we didn’t deserve to be 2-0 down in the first half,” Son said after full time.

“We played quite well; we had the chances to score, but we weren’t clinical enough. I think in the second half we showed great character, but we’re not happy we didn’t get three points.” Concluded Son.

Manchester United will next face off against Aston Villa, while Spurs will travel to Liverpool.
