Goalkeeping Errors Cost Harambee Stars In Iran Friendly

Harambee stars goal keeper Patrick Matasi has been  blamed for Kenya’s loss against Iran in the much hyped international  friendly match in Tehran.

Captain Micheal Olunga had given harambee stars the lead in 50th minute but six minutes to regulation time, a goalkeeping mistake from Patrick Matasi saw Iran complete a comeback against Kenya.

Ramin Razaeian squeezed in a goal from the near post as Iran beat Harambee Stars 2-1 in the international friendly match.

This comes after Mohammad Mohebi cancelled out Olunga’s Goal in 76th minute after connecting a brave header from  Razaeian free kick.

Firat Men had  stabilized themselves well in the match and started well, playing solidly  behind the ball and limiting Iran’s scaring pace.

Iran posed a heavy treat in  10th minute when Shahriyar Moghanlou picked up the ball from range but his shot went so wide.

Efforts by Kenyan boys to force a draw in the last minutes of the game were thwarted by the Iranian backline.
