Joseph Kubende: Renowned Western Orator Falls Off Roysambu Building, Dies

Western netizens are in sombre mood after the mysterious death of renowned orator, tutor, author and political enthusiast Joseph Kubende Wekhomba.

 

Kubende is alleged to have fallen from 4th floor building in Roysambu, Nairobi on Thursday evening and developed serious injuries before he was rushed to Radiant Hospital for medication.

 

However, upon the arrival at the hospital, medical practitioner’s efforts bore no fruits as the orator breathed his last breath.

 

We have tried to rush him to the hospital and all seemed and looked well as the doctors tried to put their professionalism at best but watching Joseph Kubende move from full life to lifeless is heartbreaking,” Adviceroi Mundalo, friend to Kubende posted on Facebook.

 

Just days after celebrating his birthday, the humorist’s mysterious death has raised unanswerable questions as many wanting to know whether he was pushed from the floor or the scene behind his death be disclosed.

Justo Misiko another friend after confirming Kubende’s death from the family, he rushed to the hospital with the plan to take the body to Kenyatta funeral home.

 

Friends, after consultation with family, this is to confirm to you that I have indeed lost a very close friend and brother. I have witnessed Joseph Kubende breathe his last. We are at Radiant Hospital in Pangani. We plan to move his remains to Kenyatta University Funeral Home. It’s unbelievable, Rest in Peace ndugu,” Misiko said on Thursday, March 23.

 

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has mourned the orator as a good person at heart and he will forever miss him.

 

Rest in peace my good friend Joseph Kubende. I have just confirmed the blossoming young man has rested after falling from floor of an apartment in Roysambu” Didmus Barasa said.

 

Popularly known as Kubende wa Wekhomba when addressing the multitude, the late worked close with many politicians in office and campaigns like Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, speaker of the National Assembly Wetang’ula and former Bungoma governor, Wycliffe Wangamati.

 

As a teacher by profession, Kubende wa Wekhomba taught African Literature at the Kigali Institute of Education and also, trained many schools in drama and music festival.

 

A decade ago, the late published a book loved by many called In Search of Gold that weaves village life that twines with modern affluence to bring out the essence of morality in the contemporary society.

 

Further, he wrote an autobiography and Ancient Pot of Gold beside being a motivational speaker for high school and primary school learners.
