Court Allows Women To Walk Topless At Swimming Pools

Berlin senate for justice, diversity and anti- discrimination last week ruled in favour of a woman who had filed a case against discrimination at a public pool.
The woman claimed people discriminated her for walking topless at a public pool yet it was her freedom.
For years, swimming pools have been recognizing men to walk bare chest and women with bras and panties but unexpectedly, one woman claimed she should also walk topless at the pool like men.
In her law case, she also noted that most women have been discriminated at swimming pools for walking topless and others even assaulted and insulted in a free and rights enjoyment world.
On the note, last week a Berlin court ruled in favour of the woman saying women are also allowed to walk topless at public swimming pools.
“ The Ombudsman very much welcomes the decision of the bathing establishments because it creates equal rights for all Berliners, whether male, female or non-binary and because it also creates legal certainty for the staff in the bathing establishments.
” Now it is a matter of the regulation being applied consistently and no more evictions or house bans being issued” Doris Liebscher, head of the Ombudsman’s office at the Berlin State Office for Equal Treatment and Against Discrimination said.
In Germany, court regulations and guidelines have been crazy since 1920 in line with human rights and freedoms.
The Free Body Culture ( FBC) for instance concerned with nude- beach; has been in existence since 19th century and was made official in 1920 on the Island of Sylt where at the Island, both women and men are allowed to walk without clothes at the beach.
