Wife Will Be Taken Away By Others If I’m Jailed For Long, Suspect Says While Begging For Bail
A security guard facing assault charges left an Eldoret court in stitches after requesting for Ugali as well as a bail.
In his sentiments, Japheth Olindo who denied assaulting three people in Turbo’s Sugoi neighbourhood on Friday, March 10, confessed to the judge that he had stayed for long without eating his favourite meal, ugali.
Olindo claimed he was almost fainting reiterating that he would be unable to follow court proceeding in that state.
He further asked the court to release him on a Ksh. 2,000 cash bail as his wife would be taken away by others if he stayed behind bars for so long.
The judge delivered his verdict where Olindo was released on a cash bail of Ksh. 10,000 and promised to buy him lunch before leaving the courtroom.
His case will be heard on Thursday, March 16.
