Man Dies After Taking Viagra With Alcohol
A group of six researchers from All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have detailed a report of man, 41 years who died a day later after taking alcohol alongside viagra.
According report submitted by researchers Journal of Forensic & Legal Medicine on September, 2022 for review, the report was reviewed early this week but waiting for more analysis before publication.
Man, 41 -year- old Indian it is reported went to a pub alongside a female friend and while there as he sip his alcohol, he took two, 50 milligram pills each and consumed.
The sildenafil pills, generally called Viagra that are meant for treating erectile dysfunction, the man took alongside alcohol but a day later, was pronounced dead.
According to the detailed report, the man after taking the pills, a day later he complained of some mild headaches, body dizziness and general discomforts but when rushed to the hospital for medication, the doctors reported he had already died.
Under autopsy, the report say; doctor’s examination found 300 grams of blood clot in the man’s brain, liver and kidney damages furthermore, heart wall’s thickenings.
“The findings are discussed in the light of the literature about the lethal complications of combined use of sildenafil and alcohol including cerebrovascular accidents (problems with blood flow to the brain),” the researchers write in their report.
Following the incident, the New Delhi’s AIIMS researchers have said people should seek doctor’s pieces of advice before buying and using the erectile dysfunction pills- Viagra.
More so, in line with the research, further research have been started by the forensic experts to know more about the outcome after one takes alcohol alongside with Viagra.
