Like most of us who hear of hunger in most parts of the country with no idea of how severe it is, Comedian Nasra Yusuf also sailed in our boat until she landed in Wajir only to be thrown to tears by situation on ground.
The comedian in an emotional video shared on her TikTok account four days ago, visited Wajir to receive a heartbreaking and shocking news of her life.
The touching story of residents boiling trees, women giving birth with nothing to eat and offer their new borns and the poverty amongst the residents such that whoever gets ten shillings feed the rest made the comedian break down with one declaration:
“I can’t sleep knowing that people are struggling this much”
This was the beginning of her deserved Charity Journey to put a smile on the face of Wajir residents by offering them food and water.
“Alhamdhulilah I went back to wajir and i delivered some food and water,the reception was beautiful and after along time, every household cooked something yesterday..we still have a long way to go because they still lack so many things and we can only” the comedian captioned a video offering the residents foodstuffs and water
On her first charity, the comedian confessed receiving support from I Fly-Air and a group of friends who were touched by the story.
While stating the need in the county, she further gave her number which is 0745328793(Nasra) for well-wishers to channel their contributions so as to continue being of help to Wajir residents.
On getting the story, popular TikToker Mummie Francie also touched by situation on ground, decided to partner with the comedian so as to continue to be a blessing to the drought stricken residents.
The duo who will visit Wajir on Saturday to feed Wajir residents, are set to hold an online harambee today at 10.30 p.m to get contributions purposely for that visit.
