Man Fined For Driving A Solar Powered Car
Man, 40, was on Thursday arrested by Victoria Police after being found by Highway Patrol Officers driving a solar-powered vehicle.
The man who is an American was arrested at 4pm when the Highway Patrol Officers stopped him after his vehicle was found lacking a number plate.
In addition, the man was found to be unlicensed and the car unregistered. As the case, his vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $ 1000.
As he spends days in police custody at Victoria Police, he will be invited along to the Magistrates Court for judgement.
His outrageous motive to drive a solar-powered vehicle castigated some travelers who took to social media platforms pictorials of the vehicle claiming it was in bad condition to be driven on a busy road.
Many claimed he was driving the old solar powered vehicle which they doubted it was an improvised machine from the mechanic.
On social media, incredible images of the unregistered vehicle showed the car completely covered in solar panels not in bad condition but the mistake was it lacking number plates.
In US, electronic powered vehicles especially the solar powered ones are recommended for use only when registered and the driver licensed.
