Girl With 411 Marks Yet To Join Form 1
As form ones join high school, a family in Meru County is calling for help from the public to help them get their child to school.
Glory Mwende, a former student, Kiringo Primary School scored 411 marks in her 2022 KCPE exam but the humble background of her family hasn’t enabled her to secure money to let her join form 1.
Speaking to Billy O’clock, Beatrice Nkiringo mother to Glory has said she has tried all her means to have access to area lawmaker and member of county assembly but all seems a hurdle.
Her husband who is a village casual labourer, his state of job lies on hand to mouth income.
“I am just a casual labourer here and also my husband. Life is tough economically and our daughter passed her exam well.
“I urge the public to help us get our daughter to school. Sometime when life become bearable, I usually engage in kokoto harvesting just to earn a living” Beatrice said.
The residents of Kiringo Kiirua, Naari Buuri Sub-County, say their daughter emerged the first one in her primary school but yet to join form 1.
Moreover, the daughter in a solemn and sympathizing face, has talked to Billy O’clock urging well wishers to come to her rescue.
“I scored 411 marks in my primary school, Kiringo however, I haven’t joined form 1 due to fee constraints. I urge well wishers to come and help me join form 1” Glory Mwende urges.
