Abel Mutua Sheds Light On Why He Avoids Making Movies With LGBTQ Characters

Abel Mutua revealed he had never interacted with any person from the LGBTQ Community/ courtesy.
Abel Mutua, a renowned filmmaker and scriptwriter, doesn’t shoot movies that feature LGBTQ community characters.
Speaking on their Philit Productions Podcast, the former Tahidi High actor said he doesn’t have any gay members of the LGBTQ community whom he may know and their advocacy and challenges they face in society.
Mutua added that when scripting, he loves content that touches his soul, and he’s free to himself without raising a sense of enmity or negativity in society.

Additionally, Mutua emphasized that though he doesn’t have remarks about the LGBTQ community, he had never interacted with them and none exist in his circle.
“I have no problem with people who push agendas, but I would be lying to you if I told you I understand what the LGBTQ community guys are going through. I don’t know, and this is not intentional.
“I do not have a single gay person in my circle, and it’s not intentional. I don’t know. Maybe I just don’t attract them. So, for you to give me a project, that’s pushing that agenda, I’ll be lying to you. I don’t want to do a project just to tick a box. I want to do a project that I feel.” Mutua explained.

In a separate interview, actress Sanaipei Tande admitted she doesn’t take LGBTQ roles in acting. She explained that her personality doesn’t even allow her to wear costumes that expose her nakedness.
