Jose Chameleone Reveals He Has Quit Alcohol And Smoking
Jose Chameleone said he no longer takes alcohol or smokes/ courtesy.
Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Jose Chameleone, has revealed that he has quit smoking and drinking after a second survival from pancreatic illness.
Speaking to Kenya’s digital journalists ahead of his medical checkup at Aga Khan Hospital, the singer revealed that he no longer takes alcohol or smokes.
Jose Chameleone explained that alcohol and smoking almost cost his life, and since he was ageing, he didn’t want to keep cutting short his life.

“I have been flipping some bottles and drinking myself. I have been a smoker throughout my whole life, but for the good of my health, I have put them aside. I don’t smoke anymore, I don’t drink anymore.
“This is a reborn Chameleone—my second time. God has given two episodes: the first round, and we’ve started the second round. You must know I’m just three years away from 50.” The legendary Ugandan singer revealed.
The legendary singer also revealed why he held a homecoming ceremony after he arrived from the US for medication. He explained that he wanted to express gratitude to God and all those who stood with him throughout the ailing season until recovery.

Moreover, he noted that he wanted to pray for those who he was admitted with to the hospital and those he met there under medication.
“People must know that I’m a Godfearing person. I’m a believer. God is ahead of everything, and before the doctors do their job, God was the first healer. So, I’ve been praying to God to be a better person, and this time round, I came to thank God and pray for other people.” He noted.
