Pastor Ezekiel Defends President Ruto from Critics After Ksh 20M Donation to Roysambu Church
Pastor Ezekiel requested Christians to respect President Ruto's State rank/ courtesy.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero, founder of New Life Prayer Centre and Church, has defended President William Ruto from social media critics after a Ksh 20 M donation to Jesus Winners Ministry Church in Roysambu.
Speaking to his congregation of worshippers in his church on Thursday, the televangelist stated that President Ruto shouldn’t be criticised for giving offerings or helping any church he visits.
Pastor Ezekiel explained that President Ruto should be respected since he never stole their money and donated to the church.

The televangelist said President Ruto earns a meager salary and can’t manage to support churches without having businesses. In his statement, no one can travel using helicopters and be the president without having money.
“Wewe unataka kuniambia Rais Ruto hana pesa? Huyu mtu hafanyi biashara? Wewe unataka kuniambia hiyo millioni mbili mnamlipa ndio pesa anategemea? Akitoa pesa zake aende atoe sadaka amekukosea? Sasa akitoa millioni ishirini ni news?“ He posed.
The renowned televangelist added that even though he was arrested by the government, he doesn’t keep mum as citizens disrespect President Ruto’s rank.

“Tuwache hii mambo ya kukashifu kila kitu, akitoa millioni mbili rudisha akitoa millioni tano rudisha akitoa elfu hamsini mtasema hiyo ni pesa gani ametoa rais mzima akitoa millioni ishirini hatutaki, kama mnachukia mtu mchukie mtu lakini msichukie presidency,” he advised.
He also advised congregants not to question President Ruto’s sources of money since preachers don’t ask them where they get their tithes and offerings.
