Lofty Matambo recounted that the Luhya girlfriend he wished to marry, ate his fare and dumped him despite buying her a phone.
In an exclusive talk with his co-host Fridah Mwaka, the Swahili anchor revealed that he wanted to marry either a Mijikenda or Luhya woman because of cultural similarities.
However, when Matambo found love in Luhya girlfriend after a short duration of the meeting, she dumped him early before their love transitioned to the proposal stage.
“Kwa sababu nilikuwa nimekaa sana bila kupenda, nilijua pengine nikimpata binti Mmijikenda au Mluhya, tutaelewana zaidi na hatutakorofishana kwa sababu mila zao zaendana.” Matambo revealed.
In their short relationship, Matambo shared that his girlfriend had all that he needed from a woman, but unexpectedly, things went wrong after she left Nairobi for Luhya land.
He explained that when the lady was in Luhya land, they kept in communication until he asked her to visit him in Nairobi, where she told him that she had also been invited for a job interview but lacked fare and a phone.

However, he said the issue of the phone made him doubt her since, in the previous days, she had complained about her child’s sickness and financial struggles and claimed that her insurance cover also had issues covering the child’s medication therein, she also needed financial support.
