Tanzania singer Zuhura Othman popularly Zuchu is set to perform in Western Kenya on August 2024. Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has said apart from bringing political and economic development to his constituents, he is also delving into social development through entertainment.

Salasya who is currently in Tanzania for political social network and economic adventure, said Mumias people must taste the sweetness of his reign as an area MP in all sectors of development including entertainment.

“I want to make early arrangements here in Dar-Islam to bring you this beautiful girl Zuchu to come present (in Mumias) itakuwa kubwa. ” Salasya revealed his plans while in Tanzania.

According to the lawmaker, Zuchu is set to perform in Mumias in August at Shianda KMTC in a party dubbed Kisalasya Festive, Season 1 Party and he'll cater for everything so that all people flock to the party for free.

According to the lawmaker, Zuchu is set to perform in Mumias in August at Shianda KMTC in a party dubbed Kisalasya Festive, Season 1 Party and he’ll cater for everything so that all people flock to the party for free.

Entrance itakuwa free because I will pay for everything ” Salasya clarified on the entry fee for his Kisalasya Festive Season 1 Party.

On social media, Kenyans heaped praises on him for choosing the Honey crooner to set foot in Western Kenya to entertain netizens but another section of Kenyans poured criticisms on the lawmaker for blinding himself not to see the raw talents in his area and Kenya at large.

They claimed the lawmaker could have started by promoting Kenyan talents because Kenya’s music industry is big and has many musicians looked down upon by the government. According to many, Salasya was betraying Kenya as a nation and Mumias East voters for not being patriotic. The money he is set to pay Zuchu is exorbitant and if he invites local artists, less cost will be incurred and other money meant for other developments.

Zuchu is a Bongo Flava artist signed under WCB- Wasafi Records founded by legendary Diamond Platnumz real name Nasib Abdul. Under WCB- Wasafi, she has released many hit songs the latest being “Honey” which still dominates Tanzania and Kenya media airwaves.

The singer and songstress has never performed in Kenya or done any music collaboration with a Kenyan music artist but if Salasya ‘s deal succeeds, she’ll have broken a big record not only in Kenya but East Africa at large.
