List Of Clubs In Champions League Round Of 16

The 2023 UEFA Champions League Group stage last matches were played yesterday waiting for the round of 16 draw scheduled to take place on Monday 18th December 2023 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

 

The draw will take place at 2:00 PM East Africa Time.

 

Here is the list of clubs that have booked their place for the knockout stage;

 

In this year’s Champions league group stage was a big success as 4 clubs from Spain booked spots for the round of 16 with each one finishing at the top of their groups.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Other Teams In Champions League Round 16

Only Sevilla who finished at the bottom of Group B  got knocked out of Champions League as well as their favourite competition Europa League.

 

La Liga’s last season champions, Barcelona topped Group H with also 14-time Champions League winners Real Madrid as well finishing on top of Group C after winning all their group matches.

 

Real Sociedad are other La Liga representatives who also finished at the top of their Group D and booked their round of 16 ticket.

 

In Serie A, only three clubs will represent Italy as last season’s Champions League.

 

Finalists Inter Milan booked their spot in round of 16 after finishing second in Group D.

 

Serie A reigning champions Napoli will also represent Italy as they finished second in Group C behind Real Madrid.

Lazio will also be Italy representatives as they qualified for knock stage after finishing second in Group E.

 

Bundesliga will also have three representatives with the Champions of German, Bayern Munich will be representing Bundesliga after finishing first in Group A.

 

Borussia Dortmund will as well represent German as they finished first in Group F which was termed as ‘Group of Death’, the Group had PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle United.

 

RB Leipzig will also the represent Bundesliga after they finished second in Group G.

 

The most ‘loved’ league, English Premier League will have only two representatives in the round of 16 after Manchester United and Newcastle United crashed out of the competition as they finished at the bottom of their groups respectively.

 

Arsenal topped Group B as well as Manchester City also finished on top of Group G and they will be the only England representatives.

 

Other leagues will have only one representative in knockout stage as French Ligue 1 will be represented by PSG, Portugal Primeira Liga by FC Porto, Denmark Superliga by FC Copenhagen and Netherlands Eredivisie will be represented by PSV Eindhoven.
