Bena Wa Malines Accused Of Being A Deadbeat Dad

Kenyan content creator and comedian Bernard Kamulu, popularly known as Bena Wa Malines, has denied claims of being a deadbeat dad after his alleged wife accused him of neglecting their family.
The woman, who identifies herself as Benna’s wife and the mother of his two children, shared her grievances, saying that Benna, initially supportive, changed after gaining fame.

“I’m a wife to Bena wa Malines. Tuko na a baby, a three-months old baby. Ni deadbeat dad, hasaidii mtoto. Before fame alikuwa analea mtoto. After fame akachange. Ako tu na mambo mingi zenye si mzuri,” she revealed.
According to her, Bena prioritizes friendships over family, alleging that he allocates a significant amount of his salary to his friends.
“Saa zingine analala nje na ukimuuliza anakasirika. Hata akilipwa anaweka friends first.”

In response to the accusations, Benna took to social media, dismissing them as an attempt to “clout chase and defame” him.
In a statement, he cautioned netizens against believing everything on the internet, noting that misinformation exists in various forms.
“Nguys nguys, the internet is full of misinformation, some facts some false some are real some are scripted. Some of us are here to create and entertain, some are here to chase clout,” Benna stated, urging the public not to blindly accept media narratives.
