Wife Chops Off Husband’s Hand Over Money

OC Sunday Ronnie from Bulenga Police Station has arrested Nalongo Namboowa Annet on allegations that she attempted to murder her husband Sgt. Kawuuki Steven, a bodyguard to the Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Jacob Oboth Oboth.
According to neighbors, the unfortunate events happened after a misunderstanding between the couple and they were alerted by the children who noticed that their father was attacked. Kawuki’s right hand was cut off from the wrist and he had a deep cut in his neck. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The first responders suspected Namboowa to be the culprit behind the attack because she turned down the request to follow her husband to the hospital but instead stayed behind, looking for the money that Kawuki had allegedly kept with her.

“She is guilty. They told her not to do anything but she went ahead and tried to wash the blood off herself yet it was all part of the evidence,” a concerned neighbor stated.
When questioned, Namboowa denied the allegations of attempted murder on her husband and revealed their house was broken into by a panga-wielding assailant who after attacking her husband threw the weapon in the pit latrine.

“We were all asleep and I heard him scream. So I woke up and saw him running to the side but he was full of blood. There was a man in a black coat that I saw but can’t identify,” she stated.
Officers from Wakiso led by DPC Robert Katuramu arrived at the crime scene and discovered the severed hand lying under the bed.
Amidst the chaos, the locals on ground got a phone call from the hospital with Kawuki giving an order to have his wife arrested after getting information from his eldest son that she was responsible for the attack.
According to the victim, his wife tried to kill him because of Ugsh. 8 million that he obtained after a land sale and was meant to add it in his business.

“I saw her coming from the room with my eyes and she was shocked when she saw me. After she ran and threw the panga in the toilet,” the couple’s eldest son said.
Kawuki’s fellow bodyguards also narrated how he over the time told them about the misunderstandings that he has had with his wife.
