Willis Raburu Resigns
TV 47 Wabebe XP host Willis Raburu has announced his resignation from Nairobi County Government Festival Committee.
In a Press release, the experienced and multi-talented Media Personality who has been serving as the Chair in the Committee, notes that he is paving way for a brighter future in the country’s capital as he hopes that his decision will catalyse necessary changes.

“I have officially informed the leadership of the county that I will no longer be serving in my current capacity as chair of the Nairobi Festival committee”
“It’s clear that to better serve the county and its residents, a more comprehensive look at existing systems is essential, which to be fair, have already been instituted and I wish them all the best in this regard. My hope is that this decision will serve as a catalyst for the necessary transformation that our county deserves,” his notice reads

Raburu’s decision to quit the role was motivated by “a recognition of the pressing need for systemic change to enhance the effectiveness of our service delivery and leadership” and he has showered Nairobi County Head Governor Sakaja with Gratitude assuring him of further support.
“It has been an honour to work alongside Governor Sakaja and his administration, and I would like to express my deep gratitude for the trust and opportunity that they have extended to me during my time here. I remain dedicated to supporting the county from a different vantage point and will continue working towards the betterment of our community,” he further states
Governor Sakaja unveiled the Nairobi Festival at Uhuru Park in December 2022 and Raburu’s first picture that emerged chairing a county meeting left Kenyans questioning his role as it had not been made public.
