Ababu Namwamba Meets Serbia Officials Over Sports Development

Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba announced that they will partner with Serbia to develop sports in the region.

During his two-day stay in Belgrade, Namwamba met with the president and general secretary of the Football Association of Serbia, as well as the sports and culture ministers of Serbia. He also met with Dragan Daji and Jovan Urbatovi, president and general secretary of the Serbian Football Association, at the Sports Center, one of the most up-to-date football facilities in Europe, in efforts to increase collaboration.

After the meeting, Namwamba insisted Kenya would make efforts to boost sports activities. “We want to see how we can tap into your pool of coaches to help develop our youth football. We are starting a youth football program and are very keen to get a good coach to help us on this,” He said.

Namwamba received assurance from President Daji that his federation is ready to work with Kenya to develop talent in order to advance Kenyan football to the next level.

Kenya is the Chief Guest for the Cultural and Arts Festivals at the Afro Festival 2023, where the CS is now in Belgrade, Serbia.
