Sheikh Jassim Submits Last Offer To Buy Manchester United
A last offer for the purchase of Manchester United has apparently been made to the Glazers by the Qatari group headed by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
According to reports, Sheikh Jassim submitted the offer directly to the American lenders in charge of the case, the Glazers and the Raine Group.
This action is an attempt to outbid the competing offer made by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who was previously thought to be in the driver’s seat.
His bid would purportedly permit the Glazers to remain involved for a considerable amount of time, much to the ire of the United faithful. It will be interesting to see if the Glazers’ commitment is put to the test to the point where they accept the Qataris’ last-minute offer.
If they reject the offer, which is rumored to be below their £6 billion asking price, or fail to answer in a timely manner, it might be an indication that they are genuinely leaning in.
