Man Excommunicated For Seducing Married Women
Residents at Kibibi Island, Kalangala District had excommunicated one of their own after numerous allegations that he was responsible for the destruction of many marriages.
It is alleged that Mulalo Mukombozi seduces married women and advises them to abandon their marriages and be with him. In return, he frames their husbands of crimes they did not commit so as to have them apprehended and put behind bars.
‘We are rioting because he recently connived with one of the women only identified as Annet to have her husband arrested because he wanted to take over his marital home. As a community instead of killing him, we want him to leave the area immediately,” one of the locals stated.
Upon his arrest, the angry mob first flogged him publicly and ordered him to pack his belongings and leave the village. Armed with his blue polythene bag that had his clothes, Mulalo was escorted to the ferry that would see him leave the area before being lynched.
By the time of his excommunication, Mulalo had just moved to the village where he was working as a herdsman. His banishment comes after a series of warnings from the residents in the past.
“By sending him away, we are saving his life because he has hurt a lot of people and people are rallying for revenge,” another resident revealed.
Mulalo declined to comment on the authenticity of the accusations but vowed to come back to the area after a given period of time to continue with his job.
