University Students Light Candles In Memory Of Fallen Pwani University Students


Varsity students across the country on 5th April joined Pwani University in a loving memory of the fallen nine students and four staff members.

 

The fatal road accident occurred on 30th March along Kayole Nakuru road, left 12 dead and others injured.

 

In a somber mood brought about the tragic road accident, Pwani University Vice Chancellor addressed the public alleging the cause of the accident as breaks failure.

 

As Pwani University fraternity continue to mourn departed comrades, on Wednesday evening comrades across the country carried out a candle lighting session to mourn their fellow comrades.

 

In Moi University Main Campus, candle lighting was held at its premises led by Moi University Students Organization (MUSO) chair Kepha Eric Opass and Secretary General Augustine Korir.

 

Commissar Erick Opass mourned the fallen comrades by condoning death for reaping innocent souls with a bright future.

 

Secretary General, Augustine Korir on his side mourned the fallen visionaries by reminiscing about the trust and hope; guardians, friends and parents had put on them.

In a combat gear of pain, he further urged comrades to be prayerful as he hopes to seeing and hearing of the death of death itself in the near future.

 

Former Pwani University student leader Jacobs Fikirini also joined the team of candle lighting in memory of the departed souls.

 

“A comrade never dies, a comrade multiplies into a million flowers of hope, faith, resilience and comradeship. As we await tomorrow’s mass at the university, we have this evening gathered at Pwani University front, for candle lighting in honor of our nine fallen comrades and four staff members. May God give us strength during this most difficult time as Comrades and as families” Fikirini said.

 

The University of Eldoret, Tom Mboya among others also carried out a candle lighting memory session in their respective premises in unison as they look forward to attending today’s mass at Pwani University.

 

Billy O’clock Media Company staff led by CEO Billy Miya  mourn with comrades and families of the departed souls by sending heartfelt condolences for the loss of hopeful and hardworking comrades and staff.
