Boda Boda Rider Murdered After Alleged Fight Over Barmaid
A boda boda rider from Mukuru Kayiaba slums in Nairobi has been bruttally murdered at around 4:00q.m on Tuesday after an alleged fight over barmaid.
The 29-year-old man identified as Boniface Musyoka Mwangangi, was reportedly attacked in Nairobi’s Industrial area as he left for home from a drinking joint.
According to his friends, the deceased had earlier engaged in a fight with an individual over a barmaid.
The incident was reported to the police by his fellow rider Charles Mue and his colleague, Mr Justus Musembi Kyanda who were all drinking with the departed in the same bar.
According to the duo, they were heading home when two men appeared from the opposite direction. They would later hear screams from the deceased only to rush and find him lying in a pool of blood.
They rushed him to Lengo Medical clinic but was refereed to Mbagathi Hospital due to intense bleeding. Musyoka was pronounced dead on his arrival.
While confirming the incident, Makadara police boss, Mrs Judith Nyongesa, said that Musyoka’s death is being treated as murder
The deceased has left behind a wife and one child according to his elder brother Joseph Mwangangi who is now requesting the police to thoroughly investigate the matter anbd find his brother’s killers.
Musyoka’s body was moved to Mbagathi mortuary.
